A fab Family weekend

We were invited to Stoke this weekend for my husbands cousins 30th Birthday. We had a absolutely great time. I thought i would share with you the necklace and card I made for Kate.

She is such a delicate sole so I made her a delicate necklace. I used sterling silver wire for this one. The beads are cream pearls and swarovski crystals.

This is the card I made for her I made the large flower by layering up 8, 3" scalloped circles. You can find out how to do this by putting hand made flowers into you tube. She loved both I am happy to say. It was great to have the weekend with the family. Just a Little fact to amuse you all Kate is 30 my hubby Roger is 40 and Kate's mum, Rogers aunt is 50 putting 10 years between them all and Elizabeth is 10.

My beautifull princesses is growing up.

I took this picture at Kate's party & I just love it I think it is one for blowing up on the wall.

I hope you all managed to have a great weekend.

I've not blogged for a while was kind of thinking why do I do it?

Well I'm still not sure but I have decided to get back to it! As many of you will know I attend class's at Running with Scissors in Grimsby and Tracy recently added a group to face book. The first challenge was set this week and I kind of got my lost bug for craft back and made 2 entries.

This first one is a clip board I have had this in my craft stash for ages meaning to do something with it and the challenge got me thinking. The out line of the challenge was to use black, white and blue and you must use your scissors in some way!

As you can see the butterfly was cut out with my scissors and my papers are black, white and blue. I entered this into the challenge but I woke early the following day with an idea for a box in my head and I just had to make it too.

I can see me making lots more of thees box's in different colours and styles I think they will make great gift filed with lots of nice treats. The papers are all black & white and I used blue ribbon and flowers to fall in the challenge were is the scissor twist? I used them to cut out the shape of the box.

Hope your all having a great weekend.

Variation on a theme
Just thought I would share a few cards I made recently using the same stamp and papers.
The first one is a thank you card for a lovely friend that gave me a gorges top recently.
Both cards use similar elements in a different way. All parts of this card were bought from Running with Scissors,

This second one is a Birthday card for one of my lovely Slimming World members.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I did making them.
Take care for now.

An evening of Swing

What a cool evening. John Hampsen at school organised a swing evening to raise funds for both the school and his house charity Help the Heroes. It was an amazing evening shared with some great friends. To help the evening along our table was filed with an array of fresh cheese, olives, mixed crackers, humas and crusty bread.

The Jazz pack were great and there singer and sax player were both just amazing.

The boy's choristers come along to sing they all dressed in shades bless they were sooooo cool. James Gillet year 6 played the piano.
The Girl Academy Coir sang a massive selection of songs. In there first set they sang along with Mrs Benzon playing piano and in there second set they sang along with the Jazz pack it was such a great evening.

I'm such a proud mummy x
