Wow I can't believe another week has gone by. It's been a funny kind of week really full of ups & downs. I found these pictures from Elizabeth's actual Birthday that I had forgotten to share with you. My brouther in law is the manager of the Studio in Cleethorpes market square & he very kindly decorated a special corner just for Elizabeth. As a veggy i have been unfortunate enough to have quite a few dodggy microwave meals when eating out. WOW I was amazed I ordered a stuffed pepper with new potatoes & salad (trying to stick to my diet i lost 1 & 1/2 lb this week) and it was all freshly cooked the pepper was stuffed with courgettes, tomatoes, onion, aubergine, pepper and some lovely herbs. Definitely going back there for lunch again!

I also forgot to show you the very lovely flowers my ladies from the Thursday group bought me as a leaving gift. My first Thursday of was a strange one it was great to not have to rush around or drive to Grimsby. Although by mid afternoon I was a bit bored and ready for Elizabeth to come home.

Friday was Elizabeth's swimming Gaylor at Scartho Bath's she entered 2 relay races, of which her team wone both. From this she has been asked to swim in a schools competition, she is so excited. Unfortunately I wont be there to see it as I am taking Roger away for his 40th Birthday, one of the things I did manage to get done with my day of. Unfortunately Friday didn't stay all good I arrived at my scrap booking class all excited to pick up a bag of goodies I had put to one side earlier in the week to spend my vouchers on my hubby got me for my birthday, and I started with a really bad tummy pain that didn't get any better. By the time I got home I was poorly went strait to bed at 4.30pm & got out at 10am the following day. Saturday I felt very sorry for my self I could see the bag with all my lovely new crafting things in but had no energy to get up and use them :-(

YAY Sunday i got up still a bit ruff but feeling well enough to start playing with my new items. I bought 5 bottles of glimmer mist in a variety of yummy colours. I love to play so I sprayed red, gold, green & pearl on to some plain paper to make a marble effect. I punched some small flowers out of the paper once it had dried and came up with this little card for a special friend to let her know she is special.

I also bought a butterfly, cuttle bug embossing folder that I made this thinking of you card with. I embossed the card first & then punched out some butterfly's from paper I had sprayed earlier. I used a red stickels to highlight the center of the butterfly and the edge of the sentiment.
A quick but effective little card me thinks.
Here is hoping for a well week for us all.

Well what a busy few weeks I've had. 3 Birthday's 3 Thursday's on the trot. WE started with the lovely Nick who made us all a fabulous lunch at her home & I have to say i was scrummy. The following Thursday was mine & a very varied mix of emotions that day I can tell you. I woke up to some lovely cards & presents from my hubby, daughter, sister & mum & dad. I felt very spoilt but didn't stop me feeling very nervous about the job I knew I had to do. The big news I couldn't tell you all about I'm changing my groups around at Slimming World to work near home & give me some time of. The Thursday ladies were all very shock & I have to say a bit upset. It didn't however stop us all going out for lunch after the group. Friday was another fun day I went to my first meeting on my new Scunthorpe team & received a very worm welcome. I then dashed over to Grimsby to meat with all my lovely School mum's for lunch at milfields and more presents. (yes I'm spoiled & I like it lol) The main day for me was Saturday though as that was the day for Alffies charity day. I had worked very hard in the run up to make what I hoped were pieces of jewellery people would like.
This first piece is made from pearls and swarvski crystal it is one of my more expensive pieces hence i still have it for sale at £30.

These pretty little earrings are made from glass foiled beads with silver plated cup beads.

These crystal earring came with matching pendants. These were popular little item good job I can make more.

This rose quarts set I finished just the day before the sale at witch point I was beginning to think I was a little crazy for setting all this up. Sam a lovely friend of mine bought this for herself she walked in sore it on the table & bought it swiftly & left. Now there's a girl who knows how to make a quick decision. Well rose quarts is the stone for Love & with valentines the next day why not.

As well as the jewellery I made I was also donated some gorges cards from some very thoughtful people at the craft class's I attend at Running with Scissors.

Aromands & Emma from Virgin Vie also cam along to the day & between us we managed to raise £200 Thank You every one!

The final Thursday was Elizabeth's Birthday the first of double figures a big 1o.
I decided to do her party myself as with some of that time of I now have I hope to start doing Children's Birthday Party's. I loved doing the after school craft class i used to do & with a CIB check already done I thought I would put them to good use.

We made a start with the bracelets first. I measured all there wrists so they new how long to make them. I put a range of beads out for the girls & let them choose.

They came up with some lovely designs of witch these or just 2 one is Elizabeth's the other belongs to Katie.

Once they had all got there bracelets made we began to create boxes to put them in. I had made a start on the cutting out & all the girls finished them of. I once again gave them plenty to choose from with a variety of papers and punches laid out. I think they all did a great job.

The Finally was the cake. Now my sister will vouch for the fact I can't bake cakes they tend to look like biscuits more than cake. Now this has meant in previous years they have been made by skilled cake makers or the local supermarket.(he he) I wonted Elizabeth's 10th Birthday to be special & I wonted to make the cake only problem I still can't bake! So I cheated thanks to Tesco who had some very plain cakes on over. They were just a plain round sponge with butter icing on the top. I bought 2. I cut the first one down small enough to make a top layer. I covered all the edges with butter cream & attached large jelly harts. I then curled some wire that I placed in the top with foil red harts hanging from them.

All the girls Loved this cake one of them even asked if I could make hers for her Birthday praise indeed for a cheat me thinks.
Well I best get of before I bore you all to death.
Take care till next time
